Decks built for Central Texas ground
A deck in Milam and Bell County has two enemies: the sun and the dirt. Summer heat dries and splits lumber that isn't sealed and spaced right, and our expansive clay soils swell when it rains and shrink when it doesn't. A deck that's set on shallow, undersized footings will start to lean, bounce and pull away from the house within a few seasons.
That's why every Kingdom Services deck starts below the surface. We set concrete piers on proper footings, use pressure-treated framing rated for ground contact where it matters, and space joists so the surface stays flat and solid underfoot. The part you never see is the part that decides whether your deck lasts five years or twenty-five.
Our biggest deck yet: 16′ × 46′
This summer we finished the largest deck we've ever built — a 16-foot by 46-foot outdoor living space that wraps the back of a country home. It went from bare dirt to a finished deck with cable railing, built-in steps and room for a full outdoor dining and seating area. The before and after photos above are from that job.
Whether you want a simple platform off the back door or a long run of covered outdoor living space, we design it around how you'll actually use it — where the grill goes, where the shade falls in the afternoon and how you'll get down to the yard.
