When a tree needs to come down
Central Texas trees take a beating. Long droughts weaken root systems, oak wilt and other diseases spread through stands of live oak, and spring storms snap limbs or lay whole trees across fences and drives. A dead or leaning tree near a house, barn or road is a real hazard, and a cedar or hackberry thicket can take over a fence line before anyone notices.
We remove trees that are dead, dying, damaged or simply in the way of a building, drive or fence. Each job starts with a look at the tree, its lean, what is around it and where it can safely fall or be taken down in sections. We would rather spend extra time planning than rush a cut that puts people, structures or equipment at risk.
Honest about what we will and will not take on
Some trees are not a job for us, and we will tell you so. A tree growing into or leaning on power lines needs the utility company or a qualified line-clearance specialist, and we will point you in that direction rather than take a chance. The same goes for very large trees over a home where a crane or specialized crew is the safer choice.
We are not certified arborists, so if you are trying to save a valuable tree or diagnose a disease, a certified arborist is the right call. What we offer is straightforward removal and cleanup done carefully. Once a tree is down, we can cut the wood into firewood lengths, haul off limbs and brush, and grind the stump so the spot is usable again.
